PacSol help shape IBM® Datacap certification

When IBM needed to validate their recent refresh of the ‘IBM® Certified Developer – Datacap V9.1.8’ certification, Ranjit Patel (PacSol’s Development Manager) was approached to assist. We like to think that this invitation from IBM was based solely on their appreciation for Ranjit’s in-depth product knowledge of and implementation experience with the Datacap product – not just because he may (in the past) potentially have taken IBM to task over some of the previous product support documentation!

What is IBM® Datacap? In IBM’s own words Datacap “Provides automated enterprise capture technology that combines advanced document management capabilities into a digital workflow… It streamlines the capture, recognition and classification of business documents. Its natural language processing, text analytics and machine learning technologies identify, classify and extract content from unstructured or variable paper documents.”

IBM® Datacap is an extremely powerful and highly customisable data capture tool that, as part of a wider enterprise content management solution, ensures any document from a variety of sources can quickly be ingested, identified and stored securely. The automated data capture processes ensure information contained within those documents is accurately recorded and made available either directly in a content viewer tool or to a wide variety of integrations to influence process or content in accounts, HR, CRM or indeed almost any business package used already.
